Lazbuddie ISD is seeking a dynamic and visionary Agricultural Science Teacher to lead and grow the Lazbuddie ISD Ag Science and FFA Program. This is a great opportunity to (1) make a great impact on a group of respectful, talented, hard-working students, (2) work with a supportive leadership team and community, (3) equip students to develop character and leadership skills, (4) and to build and lead an vibrant FFA/Ag Science program. Lazbuddie is a great place to teach and raise kids in a small community with a family atmosphere. Responsibilities: The Ag Science Teacher/FFA Advisor will oversee the Lazbuddie High School and Junior High FFA program, which includes the following: CDEs, LDEs, SDEs, Livestock Shows, and Ag Mechanics Contests. They will also teach Secondary Ag Science classes. Preferred to have a CDL with appropriate endorsements or willing to obtain by Spring 2026. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Valid Texas teaching certificate or in the process of obtaining. Benefits: Four-Day Instructional Week Housing is available with utilities paid (with exception of phone/internet). Recently renovated and updated campus facilities after a community approved bond election. Great school system with small classes and a nurturing environment for families with school age children. Salary is commensurate with experience. Contract is for 12 months and includes a $5000 Ag Teacher stipend. The has use of a new 2025 Ag pickup. Employee child care is available. Dual credit classes through South Plains College are paid for by the district for high school students. Community Information: Lazbuddie ISD is a UIL Class A school located in Parmer County with 125 students PK-12th Grade, including 37 high school students. Lazbuddie is an agricultural based community with a strong work ethic. We are located in the southern Panhandle and northern South Plains. Lazbuddie is only 17 minutes from Muleshoe; 25 minutes from Dimmitt, Friona, Bovina, and Farwell; 40 minutes from Clovis; 60 minutes from Canyon, and only 75 minutes from both Lubbock and Amarillo.
