Description

The Palmyra-Eagle Area School District is currently seeking a full-time Agricultural Sciences Teacher for our Middle/High School Agriculture education program beginning in the 2026-2027 school year. This position is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and highly supported agricultural education program with outstanding facilities, strong community partnerships, and a commitment to student engagement through classroom instruction, FFA, and supervised agricultural experiences.

Position Responsibilities:

Classroom Instruction
  • Teach high school Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources courses
  • Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction aligned to Wisconsin standards
  • Support student learning across a variety of agricultural pathways
  • Potential to support facilitation of Youth Apprenticeship opportunities

FFA Advising
  • Serve as the FFA advisor
  • Collaborate with the FFA students to support competitions at the local, state, and national level
  • Collaborate with the Palmyra-Eagle FFA Alumni to support ongoing events and programs
  • Support FFA programming and student leadership opportunities at both PE High School and PE Middle School
  • Participate in FFA activities, competitions, events, and chapter development
  • FFA advising responsibilities include additional compensation

Program Management
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support program operations and growth, including:
  • Educational outreach
  • Facility management
  • Curriculum development
  • Community-based programming

This position may also include additional compensated summer contract hours.

About Our Program

The Palmyra-Eagle Agriculture program is a comprehensive agricultural education program serving students in grades 6-12. Students participate in exploratory agricultural coursework and have opportunities to pursue pathway-focused learning in:
  • Animal Systems
  • Plant Systems
  • Natural Resources
  • Food Science

The Palmyra-Eagle Area School District program completes the agricultural education model as an affiliated FFA chapter and has students develop Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAE). FFA and SAE's allow the ability to match student interests and skills with learning opportunities.

Recent community investments have resulted in exceptional learning facilities, including:
  • Greenhouse
  • Food science laboratory
  • Multi-purpose small animal laboratory
  • Outdoor learning spaces
