Agriculture Grower

Nature's Way Farms is one of the largest tropical landscape shrub and ornamental plant growers in South Florida. For more than 40 years, we have cultivated premium-quality plants across hundreds of acres, supplying garden centers and major national retailers throughout the United States. We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Grower to join our multicultural team and help lead our outdoor production operations.

Location: South Florida (Redlands) Position: Full-Time | Outdoor Agriculture
Position Summary
The Grower is responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned growing areas, ensuring the production of healthy, high-quality ornamental plants while maximizing efficiency, yield, and plant quality. This position requires strong horticultural knowledge, sound decision-making, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with farm management and production teams.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of crop production.
• Monitor plant health, growth, nutrition, irrigation, and overall crop performance.
• Identify, diagnose, and manage insect, disease, and nutritional issues and working with the IPM team
• Evaluate growing conditions and make timely adjustments based on weather, seasonal changes, and crop needs.
• Maintain high standards for plant quality, appearance, and inventory readiness.
• Coordinate with production, shipping, and operations teams to meet customer schedules and quality expectations.
• Supervise and provide guidance to field personnel, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate production, irrigation, fertilizer, and crop records.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve growing practices, productivity, and operational efficiency.
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of commercial nursery, horticulture, or agricultural growing experience.
• Strong knowledge of ornamental plant production, irrigation management, plant nutrition, and pest and disease management.
• Experience managing outdoor growing operations preferred.
• Ability to recognize plant health issues and implement effective corrective actions.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working outdoors in South Florida's hot and humid climate throughout the year.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish/Creole) is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with a good record (for insurance purposes)
