Job Summary:

The Field Agronomist drives local product and agronomic excellence by training sales teams, providing product support, and influencing portfolio direction. The role also leads efforts to focus and strengthen demand generation. This role will cover Central Kansas.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Support local product + agronomic knowledge transfer by implementing a training plan tailored to local needs
  • Collaborate with ASM to build and execute team strategy
  • Partner with brand product manager and technical product specialist to communicate regional market and portfolio needs
  • Coordinate with demand managers and ASM to ensure forecast accuracy and focus demand generation efforts
  • Create and implement plot strategy to support sales and product characterization
  • Analyze harvest and agronomic data to refine product placement and management
  • Implement agronomy digital communication strategy
  • Resolve product performance concerns
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in agronomy or related field, Master's degree preferred
  • Three (3) or more years of experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Solid background in agriculture and/or agronomy
  • Certified Crop Advisor Certification or willingness to obtain CCA preferred
  • Must have valid driver's license, meet Company MVR guidelines, and maintain CMV requirements.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Ability to work extended hours outdoors during the entire growing season, including walking fields.
  • Some overnight travel required, must be able to travel 15-20%.
