Teva Corp., a family-owned business focused on soil fertility for natural farming methods, is hiring a Remote Agronomy Consultant to join their team in Northcentral Illinois.

As the Remote Agronomy Consultant, you will be remotely based in Illinois with 30% travel expectations depending on your location and cover the North Central IL territory. You will report directly to the VP of Sales and be responsible for sales growth in your territory by building strong relationships with farmers and farmer dealers and managing nutrient recommendations and grower trials. Along with sales, you will build relationships with customers and spend time reading soil sample results and providing soil fertility planning and agronomic recommendations.

Responsibilities:
- Grow sales by working directly with farmers and farmer dealers to help manage nutrient recommendations for growers across all crops to become your customers’ preferred crop fertility expert
- Create an effective sales plan to include optimizing relationships with existing customers and hunting for new customers across growers, farmer dealers, ag retail, and alternative channels
- Meet with growers directly (or through farmer dealers) to discuss crop goals and nutrient recommendations for the year’s current crop, to include preseason meetings with growers to set up plans, following up throughout the growing season to assess results, and to provide great customer service for the emerging nutritional needs
- Record efforts in prospecting, qualifying leads, negotiating, and developing top sales opportunities in the company's customer relationship management (CRM) tool
- Execute end-of-year customer follow-up meetings to review performance, create plans, and build relationships
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Agribusiness, Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, Soil fertility, Plant Health, or a related field preferred
- Experience in fertility, agronomy, soil health, and regenerative agriculture
- Direct responsibility for a sales territory with consistent achievement of sales growth
- Personal track record of progressive growth for delivering individual sales results
- Willingness to travel 30-40% of the time as needed
- Ability to work independently and engage people with minimal oversight
