This role focuses on building strong relationships with growers, agronomists, and agricultural partners while introducing advanced tools such as aerial data collection, precision agriculture technologies, and modern farm solutions.
What You'll Do:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within agriculture, including row crops, specialty crops, orchards, and vineyards
- Build trusted relationships with growers, agronomists, retailers, cooperatives, and agricultural service providers
- Understand customer needs and recommend technology-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency, reduce input costs, and increase yields
- Promote and demonstrate modern agricultural technologies, including aerial and precision agriculture tools
- Develop and maintain long-term partnerships with clients, industry stakeholders, and supply partners
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and growth opportunities
- Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations
- Attend trade shows, farm events, and industry networking opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, engineering, operations) to align business strategies
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through closing
- Track pipeline activity, forecasts, and performance metrics using CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot)
What You'll Bring:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, Precision Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, or related field
- 1-3+ years of experience in agricultural sales, agronomy, crop inputs, precision agriculture, or agri-technology
- Strong understanding of farming operations and crop production practices
- Ability to communicate technical solutions in a clear, practical way to growers and stakeholders
- Experience building relationships and managing client accounts
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
- Experience with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot) is an asset
