While the property is fairly isolated, Walcha provides essential services, cafés, shopping, sporting facilities and a welcoming rural community. This position would best suit a mature single person or couple seeking a long-term rural lifestyle rather than regular access to town. The role is expected to commence no later than September 2026.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Carry out general property maintenance including fencing, repairs, mowing, hedge maintenance, chainsaw work and keeping the property well presented.
- Assist with seasonal cattle processing including calf marking, weaning, yard work and general livestock handling.
- Undertake weed control using herbicides with a four wheeler or side-by-side, along with general paddock maintenance.
- Maintain a consistent on-property presence, monitor the property and communicate any issues promptly to the Property Manager.
- Practical, proactive and able to work independently with strong maintenance and repair skills.
- Previous cattle handling experience and happy to support, rather than manage, the livestock operation.
- Honest, dependable and willing to work within well-established systems and procedures.
- Mechanical ability highly regarded. Chemical Certificate is required (or willingness to obtain one).
- Comfortable two-bedroom cottage provided with power, fireplace & garage. Fuel supplied for one weekly trip to town.
- Negotiable remuneration based on experience, practical ability and mechanical skills.
- Permanent live-on position suited to a single person or couple.
