Physical Demands
The Farm Crew Worker is a physically demanding job which includes the lifting in excess of 50 lbs.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. ? Regularly stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms;
? Regularly talk and hear up to 10 hours a day;
? Regularly walk on uneven surfaces including boat surfaces and mud flats;
? Repeatedly and safely lift and/or move items heavier than fifty (50) pounds

Salary Description
$22/hr - $25/Hr DOE

What are the job duties:
- Oyster Harvesting
- Oyster Seed Planting and Husbandry
- Repair and maintain farm infrastructure
- Operate small and heavy medium machinery such as forklifts, tractors, trucks and boats
- Assist with ranch and environmental clean-up; must be compliant with all regulations
- Equipment maintenance which includes cleaning of equipment
- Equipment and site maintenance which includes regular cleaning of equipment, production facilities, and gear storage yard
- Communicate via email and/or verbally with other employees, managers, and guests
- Abide by the Hog Island Company rules, policies, and procedures, including safety trainings and meetings, as defined in the Staff Guide
- Report to work in a timely manner and in accordance with the defined schedule
Requirements
What we require:
- A willingness to learn and grow
- Teamwork
- An interest in working in an outdoor marine environment in and around Tomales Bay
- Experience or interest in Boat Captain (training will be provided), a plus!
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to operate a forklift (training will be provided)
- Ability to operate power tools (training will be provided)
- The physical ability to stand (with breaks) for up to 10 hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds
- Bilingual preferred
- Flexible availability
