Farm Market Cashier (Part-time)
Farm, Ranch, and Greenhouse Operations
We're looking for a friendly, dependable cashier to join our Farm Market team during our busy summer season (May-October).
As a Farm Market Cashier, you'll be the last interaction customers have before leaving the market. Your primary responsibility is providing fast, friendly service while accurately checking out purchases and carefully bagging groceries. This is a register-based position and does not involve stocking or production work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Greet customers with a welcoming attitude
• Accurately scan and ring up purchases
• Accept cash and credit card payments
• Bag produce with care and attention to product quality
• Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with bags and supplies
• Answer basic customer questions or direct them to the appropriate team member
• Help create a positive shopping experience for every guest
Schedule
• Friday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Saturday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
• Applicants are welcome to apply for either shift or both. These are recurring weekly shifts throughout the season.
• From November through April, cashiers may remain on our team as on-call employees, providing backup coverage for vacations, special events, and staffing needs.
Qualifications
• Friendly, positive, and customer-focused
• Reliable with excellent attendance
• Comfortable handling cash and using a point-of-sale system (training provided)
• Able to stand for extended periods
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
• Previous cashier or retail experience is helpful but not required

• We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, pays attention to detail, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service. Reliability and a positive attitude are just as important as previous experience.
