Farm Market Stand Associate

Farm, Ranch, and Greenhouse Operations
This position is responsible for preparing fresh produce, maintaining attractive displays, assisting customers with product questions, operating the checkout register, and supporting day-to-day operations of the Farm Market.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build rapport and provide exemplary customer service when interacting with the customers that visit the Farm Market with the goal of repeat business and satisfied customers.
  • Assist with market stand setup, neatly display items for sale, maintain an ample supply of items to be sold, and keep the Farm Market free and clear of any debris and/or clutter. At the close of business, store all unpurchased items in designated coolers and storage locations.
  • Process customer purchases using a tablet, accepting cash or credit cards. Store cash and credit card information in a designated, secure area for safekeeping at the close of business.
  • Learn as much about product items for sale so that when assisting customers, you are better able to answer questions they may have about the products and pricing.
  • Keep displays stocked, fresh, clean, and visually appealing throughout the day.
  • Monitor product quality and remove items that no longer meet standards.
  • Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing deliveries.
  • Complete daily cleaning, sanitation, and organizational tasks.
  • Maintain cleanliness of sales floor, prep areas, coolers, restrooms, and storage spaces.
  • Operate the point-of-sale system accurately and efficiently.
  • Help create a memorable shopping experience that encourages repeat visits.
  • Perform any other duties necessary to meet job responsibilities.

Physical & Technical Requirements

This position requires the ability to regularly lift and carry up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and working in both refrigerated and warm environments. Associates should be comfortable performing hands-on physical work throughout the day while also using electronic point-of-sale (POS) systems, payment terminals, and other basic computer technology accurately and efficiently.

Tuesday-Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm
Saturday: 7:00am-3:30pm
