We are seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and student-centered educator to launch
and lead innovative secondary classrooms focused on Agriculture, Food & Natural
Resources (AFNR) and Hospitality, Nutrition & Food Science pathways. This is not
a traditional teaching position-it is an opportunity to build experiences that prepare
students for college, careers, industry certifications, and life.
Our community is uniquely positioned as a destination rich in agriculture, tourism, and
sustainability. We are looking for an educator who will help students explore and
understand the industries that shape the region around them while developing the skills
needed to become the next generation of leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, and
problem-solvers.
Through hands-on, project-based learning, students will discover how local farms, food
systems, natural resources, hospitality businesses, tourism destinations, and
sustainable practices contribute to the vitality of our community and economy. Students
will also develop practical life skills through experiences in personal finance, budgeting,
nutrition, family and consumer sciences, entrepreneurship, and responsible
decision-making. The ideal candidate will create authentic learning experiences that
connect classroom instruction with real-world opportunities through partnerships, field
experiences, industry engagement, and community collaboration.
We Are Looking For Someone Who
Believes learning should be active, authentic, and meaningful.
Can teach students not only how food is produced, but also how it is processed,
prepared, marketed, and served.
Understands that agriculture today includes food science, sustainability, technology,
conservation, and innovation.
Sees connections between farms, food systems, nutrition, hospitality, tourism, and
community development.
Builds strong relationships and helps students discover talents they never knew they
had.
