Our Harrisonburg service department is looking to add an additional experienced planter service tech to their Team. This full-time position will service planters both in the shop and on the road.

Primary area of responsibility:
  • Set-up, service, and repair agriculture equipment with a focus on Planters and Precision Ag Equipment ( on-site as well as at the Customer location ).
  • Participate in training to increase and improve knowledge of Planters and other equipment represented by the Company.
  • Represent the interest of Agriteer, LLC in a manner consistent with its vision, mission, business philosophy and Core Values .
Position Responsibilities:
  • Set-up and repair equipment as directed by Service Shop Team Leader in a timely and accurate fashion, specifically set-up of new Planters, and rebuild or repair work on used Planters ( on-site as well as at the Customer location ).
  • Learn the various products to ensure that accurate, detailed, and timely records are maintained and completed on work orders.
  • Honor our Customers by focusing on quality service in an efficient and effective manner while optimizing billable time, and by treating Customers' property with the utmost integrity.
  • Project a professional and courteous attitude as defined by Agriteer, LLC.
  • Any other task assigned by manager.
Requirements:
  • Willingness to work overtime, and Saturdays, as needed.
  • Ability to drive a service truck up to 3 hours one way for road work.
  • Valid Drivers License and DOT Medical Card, CDL preferred .
  • Good knowledge of mechanical basics.
  • Adequate tool inventory.
  • Ability to work well in a Team environment.
  • Communicates well - verbally, nonverbally, and in writing.
  • Strong Customer focus with the capacity to "flex" to quick changes in scheduling, adjusting personal work schedule as necessary.
  • Dependable - meets commitments, works independently, accepts accountability, and makes wise decisions in alignment with Company aspirations.
  • Able to lift up to 80 lbs.

Compensation Package:
  • Hourly position
  • $28-$35 hourly wage, based on experience
  • Benefits package as outlined in the Team Member Handbook
