Full Time - Food Trailer Production Worker

The Blinn College District is searching for a Full Time - Food Trailer Production Worker at our RELLIS Campus.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities are listed below:

Job Summary

Prepare ingredients, cooking menu items, takingorders, handling transactions, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Prepares andcooks daily food menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Operate food trailer equipment, including grills, fryers, and warming stations.
  • Interact withcustomers, taking orders, handling payments and addressing any questions orconcerns. Ensures accuracy and quality of delivered food.
  • Monitor stock levels and restock ingredients and supplies, as needed. Cleans the trailer and ensuring proper food storage.
  • Maintains a clean and safe environment. This includes following proper food handling procedures, cleaning equipment, and adhering to health regulations.
  • Responsible for handling cash transactions and operating the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Perform general cleaning and sanitization, sweep, mop, ensuring trailer is visible clean, organized and fully stocked at all times. Remove garbage as needed.

Minimum Qualifications/ Required Degree, License or Certifications
  • Food Handler Certification
  • Previousexperience in food service, food trucks/trailers, catering or concessions

Minimum Competencies
  • Knowledge of proper operation of food trailer equipment.
  • Experience in food preparation, handling, and service.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and in close proximity to co-workers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and handle their needs and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and supervisor.
  • Knowledge of health hazards and food safety regulations and best practices in food service and preparation.
  • Dependability. Punctuality is an absolute must.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time standing and/or walking.
  • Ability to lift and or move up to 35 pounds safely and with proper body mechanics and occasionally life and or move up to 55 pounds.
  • Ability to work effectively in a kitchen environmentwith fluctuations in temperature and conditions (heat, cold, humidity) for anextended period of time.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Institutional food service experience
  • Experienceworking in a food trailer.

Work schedule is Monday - Thursday 6:00 am - 4:00 pm.
