Garden Account Manager

Position Overview

Texas Garden Services is looking for a Garden Account Manager. The candidate shall be responsible for supervising multiple crews while focusing on crew productivity, job scheduling and ensure policies placed by Texas Garden Services are followed. This position requires an individual that can oversee multiple residential maintenance accounts regularly, handle property inspections and provide recommendations. The successful candidate should be highly motivated and be able to work under minimal supervision.

General Information

1. Effectively manage a minimum of 3 crews simultaneously.
2. Ensure that all crews understand and follow the general polices established by Texas Garden Services.
3. Demonstrate role model behavior on ethics and integrity as well as positively promoting the company.
4. Ensure that all crews are trained on safety, productivity, quality and customer service.
5. Oversee that all timesheets, work orders, receipts and any other paperwork is turned in on time and is correct.
6. Maintain all equipment that is assigned to each crew and ensures that all broken parts are fixed quickly under management approval.
7. Brief with managers and foremen on upcoming events, client concerns and personal issues.
8. Practice training field employees on the correct method for pruning, insect and disease identification, plant identification, chemical spraying, plant installation, problem solving, time management as well as customer service.
9. Maintain an overall good record for crew productivity and safety.
10. Work as a team player and be willing to help out wherever needed by management or work within other departments.
11. Maintain a friendly and respectable relationship with clients and employees.
12. This position requires an associate degree or at least 3 years of experience in the landscape maintenance field.
13. Candidate shall have the ability to read and write English. Bilingual is a plus!
14. The prospective employee shall have working knowledge of standard horticulture practices, including but not limited to planting, correct pruning, minor chemical applications, fertilization, plant care, fall over seeding and equipment safety.
15. The candidate should possess strong oral skills; math skills, job planning skills and mechanical knowledge are a must.
16. Valid Texas driver’s license with a good driving record.
17. Valid Green Card or Social Security Card.
18. Must be able to tolerate outdoor temperature extremes typical to the climate of North Texas.
19. Should be able to pickup and deliver materials for installation quickly and effectively.
20. Must be able to carry or lift items at least 50 pounds.
21. Must be able to stand, walk, crouch, stoop, kneel, reach and perform any other physical acts that are required for a landscape position.
22. The candidate for this position could encounter wet and/or humid conditions, extreme hot or cold conditions, and moving mechanical equipment.
23. The employee shall handle multiple assignments or tasks for TGS while managing a minimum of 3 crews.
24. The candidate must handle all client requests quickly in a professional and friendly manner.
