Reporting to the on-site Property Manager, your duties will include:
- Undertaking general grounds and garden maintenance duties to ensure a visually pleasing and inviting space is maintained at all times
- Mowing and edging, weeding and chemical application
- Planting, pruning, fertilisation and mulching
- Seasonal planting and harvesting of both flowers and vegetables
- Production nursery activities
- Executing regular maintenance programs
- The installation, repair and maintenance of automatic irrigation systems
- Other gardening and turf-related tasks associated with ground maintenance
- The preparation of the garden and some aspects of the home for Airbnb Guests Check-in
- Efficiently managing resources, including plant and small tools
- Ensuring the safe operation and transportation of vehicles, plant and other equipment at all times
- Upholding quality, safety and environmental standards in all activities
What we need from you:
- A hands-on, hard-working and flexible approach, with the ability to juggle numerous tasks and competing priorities while enthusiastically engaging with others - essential
- An appreciation of garden aesthetics and an eye for detail - essential
- Horticultural industry experience - essential
- A current and unrestricted driver's licence - essential
- A chainsaw operation ticket - desirable
- Certificate in Horticulture - desirable
- ChemCERT- desirable
- First Aid Certificate - desirable
