Position Overview

The Grain Location Manager will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations of the grain facility while ensuring efficient grain handling, excellent customer service, and effective facility management. This role will also interact directly with customers and assist in managing activities related to the feed store.

The ideal candidate will bring grain industry experience, leadership skills, and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for operational improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all daily grain elevator and facility operations
  • Oversee grain receiving, storage, handling, and shipment activities
  • Ensure efficient facility workflow and operational performance
  • Maintain high standards for safety, housekeeping, and regulatory compliance
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with grain producers and customers
  • Manage customer interactions and provide exceptional customer service
  • Assist with operations and customer needs within the feed store
  • Monitor facility equipment and coordinate maintenance needs
  • Identify operational challenges and implement process improvements
  • Supervise and support one direct report
  • Collaborate with ownership to achieve operational goals and business objectives

Qualifications

  • Previous grain handling or grain elevator experience
  • Understanding of grain operations, grain flow, and facility management
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
