FUNCTION: Receives and inspects incoming commodities by performing the following duties.

- Randomly samples all incoming commodities using a mechanical probe; tests moisture content of each sample; records test results.
- Collects samples and tests flake and finished feed samples to ensure consistency; may collect samples for lab analysis.
- Maintains commodity room by sweeping mopping, dusting, and cleaning.
- Schedules for downtime or after-hours maintenance work and necessary contract work.
- Participates in daily housekeeping, including cleaning and organizing mill work areas.
- Complies with applicable OSHA, FDA, and EPA regulations; maintains appropriate compliance records
- Complies with applicable safety rules and policies
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Mechanical abilities
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers; able to compute rate, ratio, and percent
