Primary Purpose

Provide students with engaging learning experiences in Agricultural Science while promoting leadership development, career readiness, and hands-on learning through classroom instruction, laboratory experiences, and participation in the FFA organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate in Agricultural Science and Technology (Grades 6-12)
  • CDL certification or ability to obtain preferred
  • Ability to manage agricultural facilities and maintain a safe instructional environment
Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned Agricultural Science courses aligned with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS)
  • Serve as FFA Advisor, supporting student leadership development and participation in FFA activities and competitions
  • Supervise and support student Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) projects
  • Coordinate and assist students participating in livestock shows, leadership contests, and judging competitions
  • Maintain and manage the agricultural science classroom, shop, and program facilities
  • Communicate effectively with parents, students, and community stakeholders
  • Participate in professional development and district meetings as required
