The ideal candidate will be delivering and assessing to the appropriate examination body standards across Levels 1 and 2 on a range of subjects related to Horticulture, including but not limited to Amenity Horticulture, Plant Science, Propagation, Soil Science, Machinery, Landscaping and Ecology, and basic Garden Design principles.
The post holder will provide high quality teaching on the College's Horticulture intensive bootcamp courses and ensure the effective learning of students being taught. This will involve preparing and delivering stimulating lessons, setting goals that stretch and challenge all students, monitoring and assessing student progress, giving feedback and consistently demonstrating the positive attitudes, values and behaviours which are expected of students. They will be supported by a team of practical instructors and technicians with regards to the provision of practical learner activities and ensure that all requirements and regulations relating to health and safety are adhered to at all times.
Applicants should possess a Degree, HND or other relevant qualification in a related discipline. We welcome applications from experienced Lecturers. We also value and accept applications from people currently or who have recently worked in industry that are keen to share their passion, skills and knowledge of the horticulture industry.
