We're looking for a Parts Counterperson to join our team in Manassas, VA. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers, staying organized, and learning the ins and outs of equipment parts and service operations. You'll work closely with customers, mechanics, and fellow team members to keep our parts department running smoothly.

What You'll Do

  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with parts inquiries
  • Process sales transactions and customer orders
  • Create and update service orders
  • Research and price parts for repair orders
  • Update service order line items and job statuses
  • Communicate with customers regarding order updates, approvals, and equipment status
  • Coordinate with mechanics to ensure parts availability and timely repairs
  • Learn to read equipment schematics and parts diagrams
  • Receive, stock, and organize inventory
  • Create and update inventory records
  • Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory levels
  • Maintain a clean, organized showroom and parts department
  • Keep shelves, displays, and stocked items neat and dust-free
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, dependable, and punctual
  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems
  • Ability to work well with customers and team members
  • Mechanical aptitude or interest in equipment and parts is a plus
  • Previous parts, retail, inventory, or customer service experience is helpful but not required

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move parts and inventory as needed
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work in a warehouse and showroom environment
  • Valid driver's license preferred
