Poultry Breeder Operations Manager

THE ROLE
Based in the Bendigo VIC region, you will work closely with Farm Managers and site teams across multiple breeder farms, providing leadership, coaching and technical support to maximise flock performance and operational efficiency.
This hands-on leadership role will see you champion best practice across breeder operations, support the development of farm teams and drive continuous improvement in production, welfare and biosecurity outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead, mentor and support Farm Managers across multiple breeder farms.
* Monitor flock performance, including weights, uniformity, mortality and egg production.
* Analyse production data and implement strategies to improve operational performance.
* Maintain high standards of animal welfare, biosecurity, workplace safety and quality assurance.
* Support labour planning, resource utilisation and cost-effective operations.
* Work collaboratively with veterinarians, technical specialists and key suppliers.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity and consistency across breeder operations.
REQUIREMENTS
To be successful, you will have:
* Experience managing poultry breeder operations.
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Ability to coach, mentor and develop high-performing farm teams.
* Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* A proactive, hands-on and solutions-focused approach.
* A current driver's licence.
LOCATION AND REMUNERATION
Based in Bendigo Region, VIC in Australia. An attractive salary package will be negotiated based on your experience and qualifications.
