You canexpectyour day to dayincludemaintaininghighproduction, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible. Thisposition requires an essential understanding and control of the production process,accuraterecord keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsibilities include developing & leading cross functional and semi-autonomous culturewhich includes: hiring, training,Retaining, and counseling on personal and professional problems as well as educating your team on benefits, compensations, and company policies.
  • Checkingdaily production paperwork for accuracy such as recipe sheets, quality checks, & shift reports.
  • Ensuringteams have the right tools to perform their job while monitoring their performance
  • Ensuring all machinery is performing and allworkstationsare at an SQF (safe quality foods) standard
  • Promoting safety daily asby starting shift meetings off with stretching/flexing before team begins work as well as facilitating safety topics
  • Overseeing various processing operations and working withleadersin solvingproblemsusing critical thinking skills
  • Utilizing continuous improvement to positively impact KPIs: safety, quality, people, delivery, & cost
  • Ensure GEMBA walks with incoming/outgoing supervisor is being performed addressing areas of opportunity in production
  • Able to communicate effectively when escalating to upper management
  • Prioritize time management and able to multitask in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ensure production team(s) are following GMP and wearing the proper PPE
  • Performing other responsibilities as the need arises
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Education:High school diploma or equivalent is required;Bachelorsdegree or higher is preferred.
  • Experience:3+ years in a manufacturing environment and prior supervisory experience with direct reports required;food manufacturing experience if highly preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skillssuch as excel, powerpoint, office, & word. Willing to learn company systems: SAP, Power BI, & Workday
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Special Skills: Strong leadership and problem-solving skills; strong work ethic,and ability to work with minimal supervision; ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Travel: Some travel isrequired. This could be to other facilities or to corporate.
  • Preferred Skills (Not Required): Knowledge of food industry processes and equipment, understanding of financial indicators/analysis, and experience in budget development/management.
