General Function
The Park CDC is seeking a Farm Manager to support all of the Sunset Farm activities. This individual will be responsible for farm tending and garden maintenance, managing produce production and storage, and assisting with the management of volunteer farming and gardening activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Garden maintenance and tending, including planting, weeding, staking, and harvesting
Packing and storing freshly picked produce and ensure safekeeping
Watering/tending/weeding the various raised beds as needed
Assisting with programming and events held at the farm
Coordinating farm volunteer schedules
Tracking and updating volunteer hours
Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications
Additional Information
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:
Knowledge of urban farming
Experience with garden husbandry
Familiar with agricultural activities
Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Familiarity with Google Suite and/or Microsoft Suite
Good communication and time management skills
