Description

Ellens Equipment is looking for a personable, reliable and hardworking member to join our sales team for our Beal City location.

Ellens Equipment, Inc. is a family owned, agricultural, construction and landscaping equipment dealer. The company offers equipment repair services, parts and sales of several different types of equipment from a variety of manufacturers.

As a Sales Representative, your job duties would include but are not limited to:

  • Making personal calls at customer sites
  • Seeking out prospective customers and business opportunities
  • Building an extensive network of contacts including customers, contractors, and partners.
  • Developing sales plans and forecasts for assigned customers and maintaining sales management information in customer CRM software
  • Keeping accurate and up to date call logs, prospect lists and quote information
  • Pricing equipment and evaluation of trade values
  • Selling, renting, or leasing new/used equipment to new prospects and existing customers within your assigned territory.
  • Building the New Holland, Bobcat, Doosan and other major equipment brands in your assigned territory
  • Maintaining current product knowledge on all new and used New Holland, Bobcat and Doosan and other major brands of equipment commonly used in the area of responsibility
  • Attending training and sales meetings as required to stay current with new equipment and special deals
  • Maintaining product knowledge and providing great customer service and technical assistance as needed.
  • Providing on-site expertise for demonstrations, machine inspections and technical support
  • Conducting field demonstrations of new equipment and operating demonstration equipment in customer’s field as required.
  • Securing construction and agricultural equipment business; related to, but not limited to, demonstrating products, assisting in technical presentations, offering consultative assistance in areas of machine specifications, attachments, etc. based on customer type and individual applications of machinery.
  • Overseeing delivery, set-up, start-up and operator training
  • Possessing a fundamental understanding of all facets of precision agriculture practices as it relates to overall customer relationship, management and sales of equipment and services
  • Maintaining current knowledge of various financing options and products available from lenders.

Job Type: Full-time

Competency: The position requires excellent communication skills, knowledge of current construction and agricultural industries, strong math skills, outstanding negotiation skills and competency in all aspects of computerized sales tools and reports, willingness to work flexible hours and must possess excellent customer relationship skills.

Experience: Equipment or Ag sales: 5+ years (preferred) and seeking someone with sales experience with skid loaders, track loader, mini track loaders, wheel loaders, excavators, mini excavators, compact tractors, high horsepower tractors and more.

Education: BS Business or agriculture-related field preferred, not required.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to safely operate equipment, mount and dismount equipment, safely hook-up, secure and transport equipment. Periods of extensive sitting, standing and squatting are routinely required. Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
