Under the direction of the Assistant Tasting Room Manager, the Senior Wine Educator will serve as a key ambassador for our brand, delivering exceptional wine education experiences to customers, staff, and industry professionals. The ideal candidate must have wine education, hospitality, and sales expertise and successfully foster engagement and brand loyalty to drive wine sales.
This full-time role requires a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and the ability to work evening shifts as needed.

Job Description
Guest Experience & Wine Education
- Deliver engaging, educational, and memorable guest experiences that deepen appreciation for the winery's wines, philosophy, and estate history.
- Lead immersive private tours and wine tasting experiences.
- Develop and present informative and interactive wine education sessions tailored to diverse audiences.
- Provide personalized wine recommendations based on guest preferences to enhance the experience and connection to the brand.
- Serve as a key extension of the management team, providing leadership, expertise, and support in daily tasting room operations.
- Design and implement internal training programs to enhance staff product knowledge, service quality, and wine sales acumen.
- Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
- Support the tasting room team and hospitality managers as needed.
- Represent the winery at trade shows, industry events, and customer engagement programs.
- Cultivate strong relationships with wine club members, guests, and industry partners to enhance brand visibility.
- Drive wine sales through education-focused presentations that communicate the value, heritage, and craftsmanship of each product.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of proven experience in wine education, hospitality, or a related role within the wine industry
- Experience in luxury hospitality or high-end wine brands
- Advanced certification from a recognized wine education institution (e.g., WSET Level 3 or Diploma, CMS Certified Sommelier, or similar)
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills with the ability to adapt to various audience types
- In-depth knowledge of wine production, viticulture, varietals, and food pairings
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required for events and educational programs
- A passion for wine, hospitality, and creating exceptional guest experiences
- Familiarity with digital education tools, content creation platforms, or social media marketing for wine education
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfort working in varying environments, including vineyards, cellars, and event spaces
- RBS Certification required
