Jorgensen Land & Cattle is hiring a Shop – Parts Coordinator to join our team in Ideal, SD (South Central South Dakota). In this role you will play an important role in keeping our shop organized, stocked, and running efficiently. By managing the behind-the-scenes systems and workflow, this person allows our Shop Foreman to remain focused on maintaining and repairing farm machinery and agriculture equipment.
We are a fourth-generation, family-owned and operated farm and ranch. Our diversified operation includes Purebred Angus and commercial seedstock production, an advanced bull leasing program, no-till crop production, and commercial pheasant hunting.
Jorgensen Land & Cattle raises and markets approximately 6,000 bulls annually, primarily through our bull leasing program. Our farming operation encompasses more than 13,000 acres of no-till crop production, raising feed grains, forages, and certified seed.

What you will be doing:
- Manage parts and shop inventory, including monitoring stock levels, organizing the parts room, and maintaining accurate records
- Source and order parts, tools, and shop supplies while tracking purchases and delivery timelines
- Coordinate the shop schedule by tracking equipment in the repair queue, communicating availability with the Shop Foreman, and helping prioritize maintenance and repair work
- Maintain a preventive maintenance calendar for all farm machinery, vehicles, and agriculture equipment
- Help ensure scheduled inspections, maintenance, and service are completed on time
- Manage equipment entering and leaving the shop while keeping the workload organized and realistic
- Communicate parts availability, repair timelines, and scheduling updates to the Shop Foreman and other team members
- Support the organization, cleanliness, and overall efficiency of the shop and parts areas
- Maintain dependable relationships with parts suppliers, agriculture equipment dealerships, and service providers
This job is for you if you have:
- Previous experience in parts management, shop coordination, an agricultural equipment dealership, or a similar operational support role is preferred
- Familiarity with farm machinery, agriculture equipment, parts, and common repair and maintenance needs
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when managing inventory, maintenance records, and schedules
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently follow tasks through to completion
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently without constant supervision
- Clear, dependable communicator who works well with a hands-on team
- Experience with John Deere Operations Center and inventory management systems is a plus
- Willingness to learn and effectively use Jorgensen Land & Cattle’s internal management systems
