Job Duties:

In this role, you'll handle daily animal husbandry tasks, including feeding, administering medications, and maintaining clean, healthy living conditions. You'll complete regular inventories of animals and medications, work outdoors, repair fences and equipment, and supervise inmates as part of daily operations. The job also involves riding horses and performing other tasks as needed to support the smooth function of the unit.

You'd be a GOOD fit if:

You've graduated from an accredited high school or earned a GED, and have experience in livestock production, crop production, agriculture programs, or farm equipment management.

You'd be a GREAT fit if:

You have a high school diploma or GED and three years of fulltime experience in livestock production, crop production, agriculture programs, or farm equipment management and repair. You also bring experience in construction, maintenance, or farm equipment repair, along with strong knowledge of livestock management methods, safe handling, feeding, and maintaining animal health. You understand agricultural facility construction and repair practices, livestock commodity production, and feed production and inventory control. You're selfmotivated, have a strong work ethic, and come with a solid background in caring for cattle and horses. Experience riding and training horses is also a key part of succeeding in this role
