We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Agriculture Teacher with industry expertise, particularly in livestock production, to deliver an ambitious and engaging curriculum across a range of agricultural programmes. As a course leader, you will play a key role in shaping students' learning experiences, supporting them to achieve outstanding outcomes and develop the skills needed for successful careers in the industry.

About the Role

You will:
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning across agriculture programmes.
  • Develop engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback and support achievement.
  • Lead and coordinate allocated courses, including quality assurance and assessment activities.
  • Contribute to curriculum development aligned to current and future agricultural industry needs.
  • Build strong relationships with employers, schools, parents and industry partners.
  • Support student recruitment through interviews, events and information, advice and guidance activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to continuously improve teaching, learning and student outcomes.
About You

You will have:
  • A degree or recognised industry qualification in Agriculture or a related subject.
  • A recognised post-16 teaching qualification.
  • Significant industry experience, particularly within livestock production.
  • Experience of teaching and assessing learners in a formal educational setting.
  • Strong organisational, communication and IT skills.
  • A passion for agriculture and a commitment to developing future industry professionals.
  • NPTC qualifications in machinery operations (ATV, Telehandler or Tractor Operations) are highly desirable.
