SUMMARY:
This position may be required to perform a variety of duties including, but not limited to,operation of wastewater analysis laboratory, operation and maintenance of wastewater collection system, operation and maintenance of wastewater pre-treatment system, operation and maintenance of wastewater full treatment system or operation and maintenance of any other type of water or wastewater treatment system. SUMMARY:

Activities may include, but are not limited to:
- Collectingsamples for analysisin accordance withEPA,stateand/or health departments regulations
- Performing a variety of chemical analysis (both in and out of a laboratory setting)
- Making system adjustments based on interpretation of results from chemicalanalysis
- Making educated decisions onmaintainingregulatory compliance
- Performing mathematical calculationsutilizingbasic algebraic formulas and a calculator
- Completing computerized reports
- Compiling information and correctly completing monthly reports as required by permits, state authority,EPAor corporatemanagement
- Utilizationof basic organizational skills
- Basic mechanical skills
- Basic electrical wiring skills
- Proper communication of current operational status to upper management
- Maintaining operations logs
- Performing minor to major maintenance on equipment
- Operation of a spotter tuck and/or afork lift
- Grounds keeping, painting, general house-keeping
- Other duties as needed.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 1 + years Wastewater experience preferred.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills with knowledge in Word and Excel
- Communication Skills: Good interpersonal and communication skills arecritical
- Certification: Must successfully complete a storm water trainingprogram selected by site management within thirty days and must alsosuccessfully complete "Industrial Waste Treatment, Volume I" and
"Industrial Waste Treatment, Volume II" correspondence courses throughCalifornia State University Sacramento within twelvemonths, andmustobtain lowest grade certification program within twelve months or inaccordance withstate regulations.
- Other Requirements: Must have a valid driver'slicense, andwill berequiredto obtain higher levels of certification and training up toLevel A at this facility; must meet andmaintainthe minimumqualification levels as required by state regulations.
- Physical Requirements: Physical lifting of heavy objects (50-75 pounds),climbing and/or descending stairs or ladders working in unsanitaryconditions, working with hazardous chemicals.

- Travel: 1 to 2 trips per year
