Duties and Responsibilities
Plan,organize, direct, control, and evaluate greenhouse crop production operations
Developcrop production schedules based on seasonal and market demand
Selectseeds, fertilizers, soil media, and pest control products
Monitorirrigation, lighting, temperature, and humidity controls in greenhouseenvironments
Implementintegrated pest management (IPM) programs
Supervise,train, and schedule greenhouse workers
Maintainproduction and inventory records
Ensurecompliance with occupational health and safety standards
Manageoperational budgets and order supplies
Employment Requirements
Universitydegree or diploma in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, Plant Science, orrelated field
OR
Several years of experience in commercial greenhouse or agricultural operations
Minimum2-4 years of progressive experience in crop production
Supervisoryexperience in an agricultural or greenhouse setting
Knowledgeof greenhouse climate control systems and crop management techniques
Additional Information
Workis performed in greenhouse environments with varying temperatures and humiditylevels
Abilityto work extended hours during peak production seasons may be required
