Utopia ISD: AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE TEACHER
Animal Science and Plant Science. Position is flexible depending on teaching strengths.
Summary:
We are seeking a full-time AG teacher to join our team at Utopia ISD. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching students, and a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Teach assigned subjects to high school students
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and district curriculum
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, grades, and behavior
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress and any concerns
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in teaching
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification in the state of Texas
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, administrators, and parents/guardians
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth
- Passion for working with middle and high school students and helping them reach their full potential.
Salary and benefits:
Utopia ISD provides $430 per month towards a wide variety of non TRS health insurance plans as well as optional dental and vision plans.
