Associated Repp Enterprises, a third-generation family-owned row crop farm based in Minburn, Iowa, is seeking a Farm Hand-Equipment Operator-Diesel Mechanic to join our team. What You'll Do
Precision Equipment Operation
- Operate late-model tractors, planters, sprayers, tillage equipment, and combines equipped with GPS guidance and precision agriculture technology.
- Maintain high standards of field accuracy, efficiency, and productivity throughout planting, growing, and harvest seasons.
Land & Crop Management
- Assist with field improvements including drainage, dirt work, water management, soil health initiatives, and overall field productivity.
- Support sustainable farming practices that enhance long-term crop performance.
Equipment Maintenance & Diesel Repair
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on farm machinery and diesel-powered equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues to minimize downtime during critical seasons.
Farm & Facility Maintenance
- Maintain farm headquarters, shops, grain bins, and surrounding facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Assist with general property upkeep and seasonal projects.
Operational Planning
- Work alongside management to execute seasonal field plans while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
Grain Transportation
- Safely transport corn and soybeans to local elevators and terminal markets while meeting quality standards and delivery deadlines.
What We're Looking For
- Experience operating agricultural equipment preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude with diesel equipment, farm machinery, or heavy equipment.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- CDL or willingness to obtain one (sponsorship available).
- Pesticide Applicator License or willingness to obtain (sponsorship available).
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour, depending on experience.
