Farm Supervisor

Job Details
Job Duties
The Farm Supervisor will oversee and actively participate in the operations of a 1,500-head cattle and grain farm. Main duties include:
• Supervise, schedule, and coordinate the daily activities of farm workers.
• Oversee cow/calf feeding, herd health, and general livestock management.
• Supervise and assist with treating and processing cattle.
• Enforce and conduct daily checks of water systems, salt, and minerals.
• Supervise and execute crop production plans, including planting and harvesting crops for feed and sale.
• Operate and oversee the safe handling of farm machinery, including feed wagons, haying equipment, balers, post pounders, and seeding/harvest equipment.
• Oversee yard maintenance, general farm clean-up, and implement safety measures to prevent workplace injuries.

Wage & Compensation
• Hourly Wage: $24.00 CAD per hour.
• Overtime Rate: There is no overtime rate provided for this position.

Job Description
Skills & Requirements
Education
• There are no minimum formal education or training requirements for this position.
Work Experience
• Applicants must possess practical experience in cattle and grain farming operations.
• Must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of how to handle live cattle safely to avoid injuries.
• Must have proven experience operating heavy agricultural machinery (such as seeding, harvesting, and haying equipment).
• Prior leadership or supervisory capacity within a farm setting is preferred to successfully manage the workforce and daily operational safety hazards.
• Language Requirement: functional English communication skills to direct staff and manage site safety are required.

• Vacation: 10 days of paid vacation are provided annually.
• Housing Accommodation: On-site housing is available to the employee, with a weekly deduction of $10.
