Job Description

Dauphin Consumers Co-operative Ltd. is inviting applications for a

Agronomy Summer Student (Seasonal)

At our Dauphin Agro Location

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
  • Provide customer service support at the retail location, including greeting customers and assisting with inquiries
  • Assist agronomy and sales staff with day-to-day operations during the growing season
  • Support field activities such as crop scouting, soil sampling, tissue sampling, and plot maintenance
  • Collect, record, and organize agronomic data including crop staging, pest identification, and field observation
  • Help prepare agronomic recommendations under the guidance of licensed agronomists
  • Assist with inventory management, receiving product, and maintaining clean and organized facilities
  • Participate in seasonal programs such as seed plot tours, field demonstrations, and agronomy events
  • Operate basic farm and retail equipment safely (training provided as required)
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Complete other duties as assigned to support peak seasonal workload

Qualifications:
  • The ability of working in a team environment
  • Provide excellent customer service and project a positive image
  • Mature, reliable, and self-motivated
  • Punctual, and able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Knowledgeable in fertilizer, seed and chemical products
  • Agricultural related post secondary education as asset
  • Class 5 License
