General Labor

Ridgetop Farm Supply, located in Memphis, MO, is looking for a Millwright Crew Member to help install, repair, and service grain handling equipment for farms and grain operations throughout the region.

Do you enjoy hands-on work, building large steel systems, and seeing grain legs, conveyors, and catwalks come together piece by piece? Are you comfortable working outdoors, at heights, and alongside a close-knit crew that takes pride in doing the job safely and correctly?

If you have a strong work ethic and want to build a career in millwright work, agricultural construction, or industrial equipment installation, this could be a great fit. Previous experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person.

About Ridgetop Farm Supply

Ridgetop Farm Supply is a family-owned company that has proudly served farmers and grain operations since 2010. We specialize in the design, construction, installation, service, and repair of grain storage and grain handling systems throughout the Midwest. With more than 60 years of combined industry experience, we help agricultural customers improve efficiency through innovative grain system solutions, quality equipment, and dependable service.

Our millwright crews install and maintain grain legs, drag conveyors, belt conveyors, catwalks, spouting, transitions, supports, and related mechanical equipment. We are a small, hardworking team that values safety, quality, integrity, urgency, learning, and teamwork.

Why Join Ridgetop Farm Supply?

  • Competitive hourly pay based on experience
  • Overtime opportunities during peak season
  • Weekly pay
  • Paid holidays and Paid Time Off (PTO) per company policy
  • Major tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), and safety gear provided
  • Hands-on training for the right candidate
  • Stable work with an established, family-owned agricultural construction company
  • Opportunity to build long-term skills in millwright work, grain systems, conveyor installation, rigging, and industrial construction
  • Join a close-knit crew where your effort and attention to safety have a direct impact

What You'll Do

As a Millwright Crew Member, you'll work under the direction of the Millwright Crew Leader and often alongside bin crews and crane operators. You'll help assemble, install, align, repair, and service grain handling systems and related equipment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Help install and repair grain legs, drag and belt conveyors, catwalks, structural supports, spouting, transitions, valves, and related equipment
  • Assemble and bolt structural steel, support systems, and catwalk sections
  • Install bearings, shafts, pulleys, sprockets, motors, gearboxes, drives, and guards under the direction of the Crew Leader
  • Assist with setting and aligning conveyors, motors, gearboxes, mechanical drives, and connections
  • Use drawings and Crew Leader instructions to follow proper alignment, hardware, and torque requirements
  • Work safely at heights on ladders, towers, and catwalks while using required fall protection
  • Use hand tools, power tools, torque tools, lifts, and authorized rigging equipment safely and correctly
  • Follow lockout/tagout procedures and stay clear of suspended loads, pinch points, and rotating equipment
  • Help load, stage, protect, and secure tools, rigging, steel, hardware, and grain system components
  • Keep jobsites, ladders, walkways, trucks, and tool areas clean, organized, and safe
  • Report damaged parts, missing or broken tools, unsafe conditions, near misses, and injuries immediately
  • Communicate respectfully with customers, inspectors, crane operators, coworkers, and other trades

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and willingness to arrive prepared and on time
  • Comfortable working at heights and using fall protection every time it is required
  • Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Able to lift 50-75 pounds and perform physical work on your feet throughout the day
  • Able to follow instructions, read a tape measure, and work effectively as part of a crew
  • Safety-minded and willing to follow company, jobsite, lockout/tagout, and PPE requirements
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation to the shop in Memphis, MO
  • Drug-free and able to meet company employment standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous millwright, grain system, grain elevator, agricultural construction, or industrial construction experience
  • Experience installing or servicing conveyors, bearings, shafts, sprockets, pulleys, motors, or gearboxes
  • Experience with rigging, aerial lifts, forklifts, or cranes
  • Basic mechanical, welding, fabrication, or structural steel experience
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, torque tools, blueprints, or equipment drawings

Don't check every box? We still encourage you to apply. Attitude, reliability, safety, and effort matter more to us than a perfect resume.

What Makes You Successful

We're looking for someone who:

  • Takes safety seriously and speaks up when something does not look right
  • Listens carefully, follows the chain of command, and asks questions when needed
  • Takes pride in quality work and protects equipment and materials from damage
  • Stays productive, helps teammates, and asks what is next when a task is complete
  • Works with urgency without cutting corners
  • Shows respect for customers, coworkers, and other trades on every jobsite
  • Wants to learn and build practical skills in the grain handling and millwright trades

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

This is a field-based, physically active construction role. The position regularly involves climbing, lifting, carrying, standing, bending, using ladders and towers, working around heavy materials and equipment, and working outdoors in changing weather conditions. Team members must use required PPE and fall protection and follow all jobsite safety procedures.
