RESUME IS REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE ROLE

Summary: The Maintenance Generalist plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of all equipment and company assets within the specified facility or complex. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing various machinery and assets to minimize downtime and maintain a safe working environment in accordance with Tyson policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and machinery to identify potential issues.
  • Perform troubleshooting to diagnose mechanical, electrical, or structural problems with machinery and assets.
  • Execute maintenance and repair tasks efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
  • Utilize hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment, to perform repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Follow safety protocols and adhere to Tyson policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately for record-keeping and regulatory compliance purposes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Assist in the implementation of preventive maintenance programs to enhance equipment reliability and longevity.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to maintenance and repair processes.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing industrial equipment and machinery listed on the application.

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to established safety protocols.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is advantageous.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
  • Capacity to work in environments with exposure to noise, extreme temperatures, and other industrial hazards.

Additional Information:
  • This role is for 2ND Shift, Monday - Friday with occasional weekend work required, 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
  • Pay: determine by skill level
  • This role is onsite
  • This role does not offer sponsorship
There is 180 days (6 months) waiting period for former Tyson Foods team members.
Max of two previous Tyson employments to be considered for hire.
